This was a joint project we worked on with Venture Motion. 4heron was responsible for the design elements and the development was carried out by our Partners.
The taregt audience for this client was for the older generation / elderly people. As this was a sector we hadn’t worked in before we carried out full marketplace research and also looked at other leading companies in any sector who targeted their services at an older audience.
We started off with the branding and logo and then moved on to the website. We needed to make the website as accessible and easy to use / navigate as possible which is why we used high colour / low colour to break down blocks of text.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages.
The green of the logo was to represent green, clean energy, blue as a friendly inviting colour and the white to ensure it looked clean and modern. The design evolved throughout the process, the finished product has elements of curved edges, drop shadows, clear sections, etc.
We looked at the imagery to be used, green and eco-friendly and also warm (designed needed to be reminiscent of a warm home. The finished product looks corporate and professional but not off putting to the target user group.
Functionality wise the site offers a booking / signing up process, prefaced by checks to see if user would be eligible (simple 3 step multiple choice questions), alongside the questions there are hints and tips at the side, again for accessibility and usability.
