Google is finally ready to unveil the price and release date of its long-awaited Pixel 4a smartphone on August 3rd, according to Front Page host Jon Prosser. Prosser was among the most prolific leakers on the internet during the first half of 2020. Though, one leak he struggled to identify was Google’s Pixel 4a release date. Google was supposed to exhibit the Pixel 4a at its ‘Google I/O 2020‘ conference in May, but due to unprecedented circumstances, they had to cancel the event. On May 20th, Prosser affirmed that the Pixel 4a was ready to ship and that it would be announced on July 13th. However, on July 10th he confirmed that the date was deferred yet again, this time to August 3rd.
With just under a week to go, Prosser is 100% confident that Google will officially announce the Pixel 4a on August 3rd, which is excellent considering that fans won’t have long to wait for the device to be showcased in all its glory.
According to previous leaks, Google’s upcoming Pixel 4a phone will feature a 5.81- inch display, punch hole camera, 12.2 – main megapixel camera, 8-megapixel front camera, 6GB RAM, 64/ 125GB storage and more.
We expect Google to announce its flagship Pixel 5 smartphone at this year’s Made by Google event in October, along with additional Google exclusives. At last year’s event, the tech giant revealed its anticipated Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL smartphones, PixelBook GO, Pixel Buds, and it’s groundbreaking games streaming service ‘Stadia’.
We also expect Google to provide further information on its upcoming Nest speaker at the event. If you’re not already aware of Google’s new smart speaker that’s currently in development, take a look at our article which highlights some of its features.
